WATSON -John T. "Jack," 83, Nanty Glo, died Dec. 6, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 17, 1923, in Nanty Glo, son of the late John L. and Nellie (Altimus) Watson. Preceded in death by sisters, Stella Crowe, Della Watson, Velda Simmers and Grace Johnson. Survived by wife, the former Ethel Rager, Nanty Glo; children, John R., and wife, Diane, Hastings; Catherine Watson, Nanty Glo; Joyce Bartoletti, and husband, Richard, Nanty Glo; and loving grandchildren, Shari McQuaide (Mark), Shelly Watson, Jason Watson (Mandy), Jamie Watson (Cory Blake), Kristie Watson, Harry Ondriezek, Traci Ondriezek, Katherine Davis (Richard), Richard Bartoletti (Natalie) and Alex Bartoletti; and 13 great-grandchildren. Jack was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Member of the Nanty Glo Church of the Nazarene. He worked in Bethlehem Mines for 42 years. Army Air Corps veteran, having served in World War II. Member of UMWA Local 1386, Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Edward Albert officiating. Interment to follow in the United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano.
