Obituary of James A. Lloyd

Lloyd - James A., 88 of Revloc, died January 22, 2007 at Windber Hospice. Born May 6, 1918 in Portage, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Powell) Lloyd. Preceded in death by wife, the former Catherine Noel and eight brothers and sisters. Survived by loving children: Jeffrey, married to the former Barbara Butala, Cresson; Kathy, wife of Ronald Olear, Mentor, Ohio;
William, married to the former Diana McDevitt, Revloc; Thomas, married to the former Jane Scappino, Rome, Ohio; and Denise Shay, Revloc; and grandchildren: Shannon, Ashley, and Corey Olear; Todd, Brandy, Joseph, James, and Emily Lloyd; and Scott, Katie, and Noelle Shay. Also survived by brother Harold Lloyd, of Revloc. Jim was a member of the Ebensburg First Presbyterian Church. Retired from Bethlehem Mines #32, Revloc, and member of UMWA Local #860. At one time, Jim enjoyed raising beagles and was an avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed his home in Revloc.
Friends will be received from 7-9 pm, Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Jim Farrer, officiating. Interment in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
