BALLOW - Josephine "Een" (Wiktor), 81, of Jackson Township, passed away Oct. 30, 2006, at home. Born June 6, 1925, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Grata) Wiktor. Preceded in death by brothers, Chester and Edward Wiktor. Survived by husband of 58 years, Alex Ballow; daughter, Paulette, and husband, Robert E. "Sam" Baker; son, Alex J. Ballow Jr., all of Jackson Township; grandson, Thomas A. Ciner, Pittsburgh; brother, Joseph R. Wiktor, and wife, Sharon, Mineral Point; and sister, Connie DeBella, Wyoming. Also survived by sister-in-law, Betty Wiktor, Pittsburgh, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. Josie loved the Lord with all her heart and was proud of her Polish heritage. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Vianney Church, the Rev. Paul Robine, celebrant. Committal, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
