Obituary of John J. Morey

MOREY – John J., 57, of Nanty Glo, passed away May 18, 2020 at home. Born December 12, 1962 in Johnstown, son of the late Elmer Morey. Survived by his mother, Anna Morey; and three sisters, Andrea (Terrance) O’Toole, Jeannine (twin sister) (Kevin) Boring; and Marina. Also survived by his niece and nephews, Michaela and Nicholas O’Toole; and Nathanael Sell. Graduate of Blacklick Valley High School, Mount Aloysius, St. Francis and University of Pittsburgh. John was a retired social worker (MSW), CPR trainer; and a certified rational behavioral therapist. He was devoted to raising German Shepherds and was an enthusiast for Ford trucks. Member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Nanty Glo and Vintondale Firemans Club. Due to public health concerns at this time, services are private.
