Obituary of Donald N. Day

DAY – Donald N., 59, of Colver, passed away October 5, 2020 at home.  Born August 6, 1961 in Colver, son of the late Floyd J. and Kathryn A. (Burket) Day.  Preceded in death by sister, Linda.  Survived by children:  Jeremy Beckel, Ebensburg; Seth Day, Missouri, and Megan Stanley, Iowa.  Also eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Brother of James Day, Reedsville, David Day, Ebensburg, and Carol Fulton, Ebensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Don was disabled, but had previously worked as a CDL truck driver, security guard for Bethlehem Steel, a local tower service worker and as a laborer for waste hauling business.  He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, and was an accomplished guitar musician.  At his request there will be no services, private committal at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family.
