Obituary of Diane (Malloy) Boring

BORING – Diane (Malloy), 73 of Vintondale, went to be with the Lord Nov. 15, 2020 at home, after a brief battle with cancer. Born Feb. 14, 1947 in Windber, daughter of the late John J., Jr. and Olive (Pilgrim) Malloy. Preceded in death by first husband, Larry Treese; brother, John Malloy III; sisters, Sharon Boothby and Laurie Gergely; son in law, David Zarnesky; and grandsons, Brett Zarnesky and Mark Boring. Survived by husband, of 43 years, Gary Boring; and children, Karen Zarnesky; Lisa Mock; Christopher (Aida) Boring; and Dayna (Chris) Wolfe. Grandchildren, Jessica (Luke) Hanyok, Patrick (Meghan) Fyock, Derek (Wendy) Fyock, Diane (Tom) Edmiston, Ashley Zarnesky, Cierra Zarnesky, Matthew Boring, Leah Boring, Rachael Boring, Wesley (Zoe) Wolfe, Hannah Wolfe, Hayley Wolfe, Landin Wolfe and Ricky Fyock. 12 Great Grandchildren; Jeremy Balak and Zach Heming, who were like grandsons to Mum; and former son in law, Patrick Fyock, Sr. Sister of Patricia (Rick) Saylor; Kevin (Joann) Malloy; Keith (Bonnie) Malloy; Dale (Debbie) Malloy; Michael (Mary) Malloy; Lynda (Steve) Claar; and Vicki (Don) Strayer. Brothers in laws, Richard Boothby and Michael Gergely; and sister in law, Fran Malloy; special cousin, Bonnie Robeson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of First Baptist Church of Vintondale. Former EMT with Laurel Crest Manor, Blacklick Valley and West End Ambulance. Democratic committee woman. Former Mayor of Vintondale; and was instrumental in the AMD & ART Project of Vintondale. Diane enjoyed cooking holiday meals for her large family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received from 4:30 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Pastor Joshua Burbank, officiating.
