VERBOSKY – Nancy L. (Murphy), 87, of Colver, passed away December 8, 2020 at St. Benedict Manor. Born November 7, 1933 in Revloc, daughter of the late Charles E and Emma (Fidorra) Murphy. Preceded in death by husband Joseph who passed away in 2008 ending a marriage union of 53 years. Survived by children: Joseph (Deborah) Verbosky, Chippewa, Pa.; Steven (Barb) Verbosky, Joyce (Robert) Dominick, both of Colver; and Andrea (Michael) Leibfreid, Conemaugh Twp. Somerset County; also nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by brothers and sisters: Patrick Murphy, Colver, Margaret Prokop, Colver, Jean Bracken, Ebensburg, Linda Winning, Colver and Michael Murphy, Ebensburg. Nancy was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Colver. She was retired as an aide from the Ebensburg Center, and was a life-member of the Ebensburg Post 4963 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy loved spending time with her family, and especially fawning over her grandkids and great-grandkids. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation. A Private Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, Colver, the Rev. Fr. Christopher Lemme, TOR, celebrant. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Colver Volunteer Fire Company. Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
