Obituary of Joseph J. Bezek, Jr.

BEZEK -  Joe J., Jr, 80, of Mundy's Corner, passed away December 12, 2020 due to COVID-19. Born August 6, 1940 in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph Sr. and Mary (Cherkola) Bezek.Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Sidone) Bezek; sons, Tim (Toni) Bezek of Pittsburgh, and Dan (Deanna) Bezek of Mundy's Corner; grandchildren, Natalie (Jacob Nixon) Bezek, Michael (Katrina VanMeer) Bezek, Halee and Sara. He is also survived by brother, Michael (Leona) Bezek and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was most happy when spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He volunteered at St. John Vianney parish and the food pantry. Joe enjoyed friends, cars, and gardening, and never shied away from hard work. For a reason underappreciated by his sons, he loved to cut firewood. He will be remembered for his always positive spirit, and his ability to talk to anyone, anytime, about anything. He will be sadly missed. A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
