Obituary of Tracyhope Zimmerman

ZIMMERMAN – Tracyhope (Toy), 49, of Ebensburg, formerly of Belsano, passed away January 7, 2021 at home.  Born May 14, 1971 in Indiana, Pa., daughter of Alvie J. and Linda Ann (Stiles) Toy.  Preceded in death by father, Alvie;  husband,  John C. Zimmerman;  companion of six years, Scott Summers;  maternal grandparents,  Frederick & Betty Stiles;  paternal grandparents W. Jay and Josephine Toy and uncles David Johns & Daniel McQuay.  Survived by mother Linda Ann (Stiles) Toy and step-father William Filler,  children:   Megan Dawn, Emma Ann and John Jay.  Also survived by aunts and uncles:  Carolyn Johns, Janet McQuay and her companion Mark Langer, Sandra (Brian) Albright, Fred (Betty) Stiles, Jr., Sharon (Michael) Edwards, and Barb (Bill) Tobin.  Tracyhope was a graduate of Blacklick Valley High School, the Cambria-Rowe Business College (Indiana Campus) and the Altoona Beauty School where she attained a certificate in Cosmetology.  She had worked as a cosmetologist, worked in the admissions office at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, and as a juvenile correction officer at the former Cresson Secure Treatment Unit.  Tracyhope attended the Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church in Revloc, where a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family, the Rev. Clifford Richey, officiating.     Interment at Iverson Cemetery, on the family farm in Blacklick Twp.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Tracyhope’s memory may be made to the family.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
