Obituary of Joseph G. Byich

BYICH - Joseph G., “Moe”, 82, of Nanty Glo, passed away Oct. 3, 2021 at Harmony House Manor, Johnstown. Born May 8, 1939 in Nanty Glo, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Simasek) Byich. Preceded in death by brothers, Steven Yonas and John Byich; and sisters, Margaret Yonas and Mary McDonald. Survived by brother, George (Mary) Byich; and sister, Catherine P. Byich. Moe was employed by Blacklick Valley School District and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. There will be no public viewing, and at the request of the family, a private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Moe’s memory to St. Mary’s Church, 1020 Caroline St., Nanty Glo, PA 15943. Arrangements are in care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
