Obituary of Cathy Lynn Kovach

KOVACH – Cathy Lynn, 61, formerly of Vintondale, passed away October 8, 2021 in Markleysburg.  Born July 6, 1960 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Steve Kovach and Mary (Lonesky) Kovach-Costello.  She is preceded in death by her brothers,  David and Greg Kovach.  Survived by brothers and sisters:  Steve (Kitty) Kovach, Revloc;  Jim (Barb) Kovach, Belsano; Tish (Mark) Colangelo, Vintondale; Mary Beth Rummel, Virginia.  Also sisters-in-law Kathy Kovach, Nanty Glo and Shondra Kovach, Indiana County and numerous nieces and nephews.  Cathy had been a resident of Johnstown for many years and enjoyed employment at the Cambria County Association of the Blind in Johnstown.  She enjoyed walking to work and interacting with her workmates.  She also enjoyed playing gambling machines.  A lifelong member of Sts.Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Vintondale.  Friends will be recieved from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo where a Panchida will be sung.  Brief Service at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Monday, followed by Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Vintondale, the Rev. Fr. Gregory Tsjouman, officiating.  Interment at church cemtery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to the Sts. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Third Street, PO Box 204,  Vintondale, Pa.  15960
