We are so sorry to hear about Uncle Johnny. I am also ashamed I haven't kept in touch as I should. All I can say is I think of Uncle Johnny often and I also remember my mom always said he was her favorite. He was a smart, kind, giving, and loving man...BUT a man's man. Our sincere condolences go out to all my Kupchella family. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Love, John and Jean Caliendo

I knew John as a result of being on the staff of the Cambria County Planning Commission between 1978-87. As a Commission member he was active and always offered insightful input not only on Commission matters, but on events of the day as well. Even a brief visit with him at USS to sign a few checks turned into an educational experience for me since John always had a unique comment or perspective to offer. He understood the broad picture but also the detailed steps it took to achieve it. He truly was a visionary and a unique individual. Rest in peace John.
