Obituary of Isabelle M. Friday

FRIDAY – Isabelle M., 87, formerly of Nanty Glo, went to be with the Lord, February 4, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Springfield, VA.  Born August 11, 1934 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late John and Julia (Delaney) Kerezsi.  Preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughters, Cheryl Ryan and Karen Friday; daughter in law, Yolanda Friday; sister, Dorothy (William) Campbell; and several brothers, brothers in law and sisters in law. Survived by children, Carole Vogel; and Edward Friday; brother, Ernie Kerezsi; grandchildren:  Julia Vogel, Jenna Vogel, Zackary Vogel, Alicia (Steven) Ramirez and Monika Ann (Gilroy) Ramirez; great granddaughter, Clara Friday; son in law, John Ryan; nieces and nephews, Michelle Campbell; William “Bill” Campbell; Monica (Paul) Little; Craig (Lynne) Campbell; great nephew, Joshua Little; and several nieces and nephews.  Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo.  Retired from Blacklick Valley Elementary School where she was a teacher’s aide.  Isabelle enjoyed playing bingo, going on bus trips, casinos, and shopping (especially for shoes).  Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, the Rev.
