Obituary of Henry Morris
MORRIS – Henry, 65, of Revloc, passed away peacefully February 6, 2022, surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born July 26, 1956 in Spangler, son of Merton and Odessa (Hertzog) Morris. Henry raised three beautiful children, Meghan, Nathan, and Shane with his former spouse Susan (McCoy) Morris. Henry is preceded in death by his son Nathan (2005); nephew Michael Morris (2001) and his father Merton (1994). He is survived by daughter Meghan (Dom) DeFazio; son Shane M. (Kurstin) Morris; grandchildren Francis and Evelyn DeFazio; mother Odessa Morris, and brothers: Larry, Rodger, Wayne, Gene, Dave, Danny, Ron and Don, as well as several half-siblings. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Henry made life long friends as a coal miner at Mine #33, Ebensburg as well as being part of the highway construction crews of HRI, Inc. His hobbies revolved around his family, where he attended every football game, art show, music concert and wrestling matches. He also enjoyed playing billiards, and gliding down the river in his canoe. Henry was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, and enjoyed social membership at the Ebensburg VFW and American Legion Posts. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Brian Warchola, celebrant.
