Obituary of Marcy Jo Brodish
BRODISH – Marcy Jo (Hawksworth), 59, of Ebensburg, peacefully passed away at home on August 1, 2022 after being diagnosed with brain cancer. Born April 7, 1963 in Johnstown, daughter of William and Marceen (Rice) Hawksworth. Preceded in death by father William and brother Bill Hawksworth. Survived by her mother, Marceen; husband, Daniel Brodish to whom she was married 36 years; twin daughters: Tara and Torie, Ebensburg; son, Sgt. Trent (Danielle) Brodish USAF, Fairbanks, Alaska; sister, Michele (Doug) Ellis, Nanty-Glo, and brother Chad (Allison) Hawksworth, Cleona; brother-in law Robert (Cheryl) Brodish, Hershey. Also survived by close family friend Randy Radebach, Revloc.
Marcy retired as an Administrative Assistant at the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and Nanty Glo’s Ebandjieff Clinic with 38 years of service. Marcy was known for her positivity and forward personality. She loved the microphone. She enjoyed traveling throughout the US with Dan, baking, and vacationing at the beach. Marcy was well known for her organization, volunteer work, and love of the Christmas season.
Friends will be received from 5:30 p.m. until the time of a brief Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 4th, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, the Mr. Randy Datsko, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcy’s memory may be made to the Ebensburg Area Ambulance Association or Cresson Lake Playhouse.
