Obituary of Anna Szymusiak

SZYMUSIAK – Anna (Barosky), 104, of Nanty Glo, passed away September 5, 2022 at Cambridge-Ebensburg. Born October 17, 1917 in Altman, Indiana County, daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Mutchka) Barosky. Preceded in death by husband, Frank in 2013; brothers, John, Peter, Joseph and Charles; and sisters, Mary and Marie. Survived by daughter, Rosemary (Eli) Siuniak. Grandchildren, Nadine Shaffer, Eli Siuniak, Stephanie (George) Hnatko, Christina (Michael) Worthington and Michael (Angela) Siuniak. Great Grandchildren, James, Michael, and Matthew Shaffer; Zachary and Katelyn Hnatko; Isaac, Dmitri and Ella Worthington; and Elias Siuniak. Great Great Granddaughter, Ellie Shaffer. Member of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Nanty Glo. Anna was a loving mother, baba and “little” baba.  She was the very best  mother and doted on her family always. She will be very missed by all of her family. Friends will be received from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where Parastas will be held that evening.  Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Ascension Church, the Very Rev.
