GOVACHINI – Rae Anne (Lesser), 82, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully September 27, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born December 27, 1939 in Ebensburg, daughter of the late Walter M. and Anna Mae (Fox) Lesser.  She was preceded in death by her grandson David “DJ” Knight, and her sister, Nancy (Charles) Willman.  Survived by her husband of 63 years, Attorney Dennis Govachini, Ebenburg and these children:  Dennis Jr., (Regina) of Pittsburgh; Lori (Michael) Montini, of Frederick Maryland; Lisa (Bruce) Horowitz, of Parma, Ohio, grandchildren Clara, Emma, Brandi, Ayanna and Davion;  several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and brothers Walter and Michael Lesser. Also survived by her best friend, Barbara Monborne.   Rae Anne was a 1957 graduate of the newly established Central Cambria High School and was voted “Best Smile” in her high school yearbook.  Well known for her happy disposition and great smile, she began her clerical career with Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, assisted her husband in obtaining his law degree and retired after 25 years as administrative assistant to the president of the former Laurel Bank (FNB) Ebensburg.  She loved reading, enjoying mysteries, history and the New York Times.  Even in her later years, when vision problems persisted, she invested in magnification aids to assist her in continuing her love of books.   She also loved her dogs, political discourse with her husband and in her retirement, traveling to visit her children, grandchildren and their families.  She will always be remembered with love by her husband and family.  Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 4th, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes. Inc, Ebensburg, followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Church at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant.  Interment at Holy Name Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Rae Anne’s memory may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society, 743 Galleria Drive Ext., Johnstown, Pa.  15904,   or to St. Jude’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org)  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
