Obituary of Helen E. Bishop

BISHOP -  Helen E. (Schilling), 100, of Richland Healthcare, Johnstown, formerly of Mylo Park, Ebensburg, passed away peacefully November 14, 2022 in Richland Twp.  Born October 28^th, 1922 in Nicktown, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Lance) Schilling.  Preceded in death by husband Robert A. Bishop, who passed in 2015, great-granddaughter Emily Glandon, and eleven siblings.  Survived by children: Mary Ann (Thomas) Panczak, Ohio; Charles (Diane) Bishop, Lilly; Cheryl (Richard) Miller, Ebensburg and Linda (Mark) Bober, Nanty Glo; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Sister of Regis Schilling, Ohio.  A member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Legion of Mary.  Helen enjoyed baking, playing bingo, coloring and just recently was happy to celebrate her 100^th birthday with family and friends at Richland Healthcare. 

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where as vigil prayer service will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant.  Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Holy Name School Angel Fund, 500 N.
