Obituary of Roger B. McLaughlin

McLAUGHLIN -- Roger, 66, of Ebensburg Center, formerly of the Pittsburgh area, passed away March 21, 2023. Born in Allegheny County, son of the late Roger and Florence McLaughlin. Survived by a brother, and the many friends he made at the Center.  Anyone who knew Roger knew that he was a kind, gentle soul. He had his moments, but who hasn’t? He was an advocate for animal rights and loved every animal he ever met as his own. He cared for and protected the “stuffed animals” in his animal haven. Roger was very special to the people at the Ebensburg Center; so special in fact he gave us our own nicknames. He enjoyed his walks around the grounds and took pride in keeping the grounds clean. Roger would often describe himself as a person with “many jobs” and someone who would always protect the rights of others, human or animal. Many thanks to the good people at DaVita for their care ad understanding of Roger and for always accommodating his animal.
