I was blessed to be one of Deana’s roommates for 3 years at IUP. We shared so many memories during our carefree college days. She was one of a kind! Paul-I are so sorry for your tremendous loss. You brought so much happiness to Deana when the two of you met and married. Ally and Ashley- you made your mom so proud!! The pictures on her Facebook tell the story of her biggest blessings in life including her new son-in-law Logan. Nicole, Chance and Sean-Deana was always so proud to be your “big sister”. Deana had a special place in my heart. She was always so kind to me. Growing up I remember how she always had a smile on her face. Anytime I would go to her classroom with Ashley, go to the Deetscreek house, at the Jackson Heritage festival, she always brought such joy with her presence. I greatly appreciate how welcoming she always was, all the rides to and from school events, and how much she helped my brothers, grandma, and I. It’s sad to hear that we’ve lost such a selfless woman. All my love to the Deetscreek family. Rest in peace Deana

I will never forget the impact that Deana made in my life, starting with having one of my best friends to being my 3rd grade teacher. She taught me kindness and generosity (as well as how to incubate chicks). I could never say thank you enough for always accepting me as I was and always treating me as family.
