Obituary of Francis J. Brusko

BRUSKO – Francis J., 90, of Mundy’s Corner, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023. Born June 22, 1932 in Nanty Glo, son of the late Francis and Mary Brusko Sr..  Preceded in death by wife of 62 years Jane. C. (Schuck) Brusko; son, Steven Brusko; brothers John and Andrew; sisters Emma, Elizabeth and Mary; as well as several sisters and brothers in law.  Survived by children, Bernie (Colleen) Brusko; Michael (Lucy)Brusko; Tom (Cerise) Brusko; and Kathy (Greg) Kupchella.  Grandchildren; Daniel (Lies), Alexandra, Tanner, Miroslav, Michael, Lilian Brusko, Branden (Jillian), Cody (Becca) Kupchella, Nathan, Hanna Brusko, Melissa (Mike) Trentini, Brianna, and Izzy Brusko, and 6 great grandchildren.  Also survived by brother Ed (Ellie) Brusko and sister in law Carol Ann. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundy’s Corner.  Frank Served in the US Army during the Korean conflict from 1953- 1955.  He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates, and enjoyed watching and talking sports.  The family wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all the nurses and nurse’s aides at Cambria Care Center, and Cambridge, especially his hospice nurse Jerilynne.  Frank’s children appreciate the kindness and compassion they gave while caring for their Dad.   Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. John Vianney Church Rev. Timothy Harris, T.O.R. Entombment, Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Conemaugh.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
