Obituary of Anthony Chiappini

CHIAPPINI – Anthony, 77, of Parkhill, Johnstown, passed away December 1, 2023 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a long battle with cancer.  Born January 3, 1946 in Johnstown, son of the late John and Pary (Dino) Chiappini.  Preceded in death by parents, step-mother Josephine (Pasini) Chiappini; sisters: Rose, Frances, Dorothy and Josephine, and brother Jeffrey.  Survived by children:  John (Bonnie) Chiappini, Nanty Glo; Michelle Silbaugh (Harold), York; and Kelli Ranee’ Chiappini, Nanty Glo., nine grandchildren:  Anthony (Jacqueline) and Alexander Chiappini; Autumn (Logan)  Kinard; Levi (Emily) Silbaugh, Willow and Eden Silbaugh, Tyler Chiappini, Morgan Chiappini and Rylee Chiappini-Collins; and great-grandchildren (with one on the way): Nicolas, Alivia, Dawson, and Eowyn.  Also survived by brothers and sisters:  Domenick (Dolores) Chiappini; Lena Moore; John Chiappini; Shirley Lundberg; and Elizabeth Bearer; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Anthony was a self-employed plumber. He enjoyed traveling for business and fun, was once a great pool player and avid bowler, and enjoyed the occasional hunting and fishing trips with family and friends.  Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, (Dec 8^th) at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, and from 10:00 a.m., until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, (Dec 9^th) at the funeral home, Rev.
