WILKINSON – Margaret “Margie”, 96, of Hillsdale, formerly of Vintondale, passed away June 2, 2024 at The Embassy of Hillsdale Park. Born Jan. 18, 1928 in Vintondale, daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Boback) Jacobs. Preceded in death by husband Clair; daughter, Catherine McCullough; sisters, Helen, Mary, Irene, Dorothy and Kathy; 2 infant sisters; and brother, Andrew Jacobs. Survived by sisters, Shirley (David) Zech; and Nancy (James) Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by son-in-law, Vince McCullough; sister-in-law, LeVonne Jacobs; and brother-in-law, Barry Sergent. Member of Vintondale First Baptist Church. Margie enjoyed playing her guitar and making flower arrangements for family and friends. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo. Interment, Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margie’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
