it is striking to know that when I met Bob, he was only two years into his pastoral ministry. I still carry the Bible he gave me and signed. He was a friend who ministered to me in a very hard time. And a wicked. racquetball player with an undefeatable slapshot. He like Paul struggled with the thorn in his flesh, and he like Paul carried the gospel to many, and I am counted as one of them. God bless you, father Kelley you had courage.

My sincere condolences to Father Kelly's family for the loss of this sweet and wonderful man. I've known Father Kelly since I was a little girl at Our Lady of Victory. He was so loved by my parents, siblings and myself. Father Kelly was one of the kindest and caring individual that I've ever known. He will be missed. Have a beautiful life with Jesus, Father Kelly. We love you so much.

Father Kelly received my husband and me into the Church on St. Patrick's Day 1978. Ever since that day I have known that, wherever he was, I could turn to him for wise counsel and loving concern. A good shepherd walking in his Good Shepherd's footprints, now with Him at last. My sympathy to his family and to all the many who loved him.

I first met Bob when he was a seminarian at St. Mary's in Baltimore. I was working in the D.C. area at the time when he and a group of his fellow seminarians got together with a group of us on occasion, through a mutual acquaintence. Bob was so inspiring, and devoted, and I knew he would be one of the seminarians who would one day be ordained. He later served at my hometown parish, St. Mary's in Altoona, where I was then residing God bless him and may he enjoy heavenly peace.

From one of Father Bob's North American College classmates. I will remember Father Bob being a postive presence, joyful in his Catholic Faith and always hopeful of the Lord's Mercy and Grace. May the Angels lead him to Paradise, and may the Lord grant him eternal life. Well done, good and faithful servant!

My prayers and condolences to Bob's family. I was a classmate of Bob's in Rome, He and I got to know one another when we spent several weeks together in the summer of 1971 teaching English to Flemish college students in Belgium. Bob was a good teacher. I enjoyed him very much. Always so bright, smart and kind. May the Holy Spirit enfold him in love and bring him before God the Most High. Terry Steig, Portland, Oregon

As a classmate at the North American College in Rome, I remember Bob as a friendly, engaging, and lively person. Often taking the role as MC at class events, he had an inclusive and robust sense of humor that suited him in that role. Perfect for a priest, guide, and pastor.
