Obituary of Thomas Jay Wray
WRAY – Thomas J., 85, of Mundy’s Corner, passed away July 27, 2024. Born March 31, 1939 in Johnstown, son of the late Oscar “Pete” and Catherine (Mahan) Wray. Preceded in death by his sister Lavon Clyde. Survived by loving wife of 61 years Donna (Madill) Wray and children: Richard (Casandra) Wray, of Cresson Pa.; Melinda Wray, of Fort Collins Co.; and William (Leanne) Wray, of Honey Brook Pa. Also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, William Wray; and sister, Beverly Swartz. Thomas was a USMC Veteran, retired foreman from R&P Coal in Indiana, Pa. and a longtime member of the Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 17th, 2024 at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc. Nanty Glo, Terry Glessner and Carl Phillips officiating. Military Rite by Blacklick Valley Ritual Team. Committal, Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
