WARMUS – Barbara (Gisler), 76, died August 13, 2024, peacefully at home, daughter of Joseph and Frances (Skupien) Gisler. Born February 18, 1948 in Spangler. Preceded in death by parents; and younger brother, Rick. Survived by husband, Michael; and daughters, Laura (Leo) Glass, Portage; Karen Hite, Patton; Heather (Tom) Loebig, Pittsburgh; Marianne (Charles) Johnson, Phoenix, AZ; Dawn (Josh) Brletic, Dallas, TX; and Whitney Warmus, Glendale, AZ. Also survived by brothers, Dennis (Dolly) Gisler, Richland; and James (Colleen) Gisler, Lewes, DE; and sister-in-law, Susan Gisler, Pittsburgh. Thirteen grandchildren: Abigail (Robert) Riva, Lauren and Olivia Hite, Taylor Glass, Joseph and Jackson Loebig, Charles, James, Kathryn and Ryan Johnson, Georgia, Emma and Hannah Brletic; and two great granddaughters, Paisley and Shyanne Riva. While raising six daughters, Barb worked as a nurse at the former Lee Hospital and Laurel Crest Manor which she retired with 28 years of service. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, where funeral mass will be held on Monday August 19th at 11 a.m. Viewing will be on Sunday Aug 18th from 2-6 p.m. at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. You could see Barb smiling at all their athletic events. Barb’s selfless heart will be cherished and missed by all.
