MELNYK – Margaret “Marge”, 88, of Ebensburg, passed away Jan. 4, 2025 at home. Born July 10, 1936 in Bakerton, daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Venesky) Sclesky. Preceded in death by an infant baby son, Joseph; sister Irene McGowen; and brother, John M. Sclesky. Survived by her husband James, to who she was married for 62 years; and children, James M. (Robbin) Melnyk; Sharon M. Williams; and Barbara A. (Jim) Amos. Grandchildren, Sabrina, Tanner and Morgan Melnyk; Josh and Justin Williams; and Kayla Amos. Also survived by sister, Roseanne Bradley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Marge loved listening to Polka music and was deeply devoted to her own family and her many day care children.  Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, the Rev. Brian Warchola, officiating. Interment, Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Marge’s memory.
