Bzdyl - Marie L. (Cook), 70 of Nanty Glo, passed away August 26, 2005 after a relatively short bout with cancer. Born April 21, 1935 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Polosky) Cook. Preceded in death by brother Charles Cook. Survived by husband of 44 years, Michael L. Bzdyl; son Robert M. Bzdyl, York, Pa.; sisters, Catherine Rickabaugh, Johnstown; Irene Gregory, Josephine Salvetti, and Bertha Rege; and brother, Thomas Cook, all of Nanty Glo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, and Nanty Glo VFW Ladies Auxillary. Marie enjoyed being surrounded by friends from local church festivals and Polka dances. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., Monday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. David S. Peles, celebrant. Committal, St. Marys Cemetery.
