PARRISH --Catherine M. (Long), 89 of Blacklick Twp., died June 23, 2006 at Miners Medical Center. Born March 31, 1917 in Croyle Twp, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Clara A. (Smith) Long. Preceded in death by husband Walter Parrish, son Thomas J., sister Alma Long, brothers John Lawrence and Joseph R. Long. Survived by daughters Ann C.(Richard) Betz, Elyria, Ohio; Louise M. (Thomas) Wells, Swansea, Mass.; sons William R. Parrish, Ebensburg; Ed V. (Ellen Swift), White Hall, MD; Allan J.(Linda Fraker) York, PA; Richard J. (Janice Moran) Coraopolis, PA; Michael G. (Lynne Dallmeyer) Wrightsville, PA. 27 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Sister of Sr. Mary Avila Long, RSM, Dallas, PA; Regis J. Long, Summerhill; Hilda C. Karl, Fairmont, WV.; Cletus R. Long, Ebensburg; Mary A. Chirdon, Canonsburg, PA Stella J. Strittmatter, Patton; Jane M. Moore, Ebensburg; Norman P. Long, Summerhill and Irma G. Senner, Portage. Member of SS. Timothy & Mark Parish , Twin Rocks. Belsano Senior Citizens. Former 4-H Club Leader for many years. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 11am Tuesday at SS. Timothy & Mark Catholic Church, the Rev. James H. Conrad, STL, celebrant. Committal St. Charles Cemetery.
