KUHAR – Levia T., 97, of Mundys Corner, passed away Nov. 23, 2017 at home. Born May 10, 1920 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Christopher and Lucia (Cignola) Soler. Preceded in death by husband, Louis A. Kuhar, Jr.; brothers, Anthony and William Soler; sisters, Anna Parison; Lena Furioli-Kuzmick; Lillian Madoni and Helen Patarini; and son in law, Walter M. Lorek. Survived by children, Marty (Connie) Kuhar; Anita Lorek; and Louis C. (Carol) Kuhar. Grandchildren, Christina (Tom) Tweardy, Gregory Kuhar, Jeannine (Rick) Roberts, Matthew (Priya) Kuhar, Michael Lorek, Philip Kuhar, Allison Kuhar and Adrianne Kuhar. Great Grandchildren, Brody Roberts, Bryce Roberts, Bryn Roberts, Owen Tweardy and Mason Tweardy. Also survived by sisters in law, Mary Ostinowsky and Lois Kuhar; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her special caregivers, Katie, Laura, Carol, Tracy, Helen, Nealens Personal Care; and Dr. Michael Tatarko. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner, where she was a member of the choir. Member of Catholic Daughters of America. Former member of Legion of Mary. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, the Very Rev. Andrew Stanko, celebrant. Committal to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
