NOBLE - Dorothy (Travis), 88, of Nanty Glo, passed away July 21, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 5, 1927 in Twin Rocks, daughter of the late George Sr., and Margaret (McGough) Travis. Preceded in death by husband, James; son, Mark; brothers, George Jr. " Pood" ; James " Jimmy" ; foster brother, Larry " Muzz" ; sisters, Sarah "Babe" ; Irene " Penie" ; and Bessie; as well as nieces and nephews, Pam, Tiana, Denny and Candice. Survived by her grandsons, Josh and Dane Noble; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Active member of Nanty Glo Church of God, for more than 50 years, where she had been a Sunday School teacher and organist in the past. She loved spending time with her grandsons. Dorothy also loved singing, playing the guitar and organ; and enjoyed Bingo, going to casino 's and camping. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Pastor Walt Misner and Pastor Bob Westrick, officiating. Interment, UB Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donation's may be made to Nanty Glo Church of God in Dorothy' s memory.
