SWARTZ – Larry R. “Turkey”, 70, of Nanty Glo, passed away Jan. 6, 2019 at home. Born April 23, 1948 in Johnstown, son of the late Ray and Wilda (McCall) Swartz. Preceded in death by daughter, Rayna Ann Swartz; daughter, Melissa Swartz; and sister, Janice Deetscreek. Survived by wife of 45 years, the former Debi Mardis; and daughter, Sonya (Randall) Schrenkel. Grandchildren, Kerstyn, Kyle, Arianna and Link. Brother of Raymond (Laurie); Brian (Kathy); Madeline (Robert) Martinazzi; Nancy (Don) Thomas; Linda (Greg) Lonesky; Brenda (James) Mackanick; Susan (Glenn) Callender; Lori Oldham; and Lisa (Steve) Simasek. Also survived by brother in law, Barry Deetscreek; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry enjoyed fishing and hunting; and loved to build street rods and muscle cars. Private services at the convenience of the family. Arrangements in care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
