Obituary of Debora L. Rager

RAGER – Debora L., 65, of Jackson Twp., passed away on June 20, 2022, after a 13 year battle with cancer. Born December 24, 1956 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Murry E. and Agnes M. (Allison) Shaffer. Preceded in death by brothers, Jack and James Shaffer; and brother in law, Ronald Wallace. Survived by husband, Randy of 47 years; children, Jodi (Jonathan) Beech; and Ross (Michele) Rager; grandsons, twins, Brendan and Bryce Beech; and Theodore Rager. Also survived by sisters, Judith (Gerald) Baxter, Janet Wallace and Donna (Roger) Swick. Member and deacon of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, Benshoff Hill. Former Administrative Assistant with the former L.R. Kimball, Ebensburg. Co-owner of Rager Family Farm. Deb enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, and from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 856 Benshoff Hill Road, Johnstown, Pastor Rob Wolf, officiating.
