Obituary of Michelle Marie Long

LONG – Michelle Marie, 44, of Ebensburg passed away December 30, 2022 at home.  Born December 7, 1978 in Johnstown, daughter of Lawrence (Patricia) Fabry.   Survived by her parents, her loving and devoted husband of 13 years, Scott Long, and her dog children Sonny, Mabel, Fiona and Phoebe whom she adored.  Loving sister to Nick (Lindsey) Zakucia, Joseph (Krista) Zakucia, Chrissy Fabry and Steve Fabry, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  Michelle was a 1997 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and a 2001 graduate from Clarion University. After graduation, she impacted many children’s lives as a TSS in various school districts.  Michelle was most recently employed as an Administrative Assistant at Ebensburg Animal Hospital, where she pursued her passion for animals for many years.  Michelle was known for her natural beauty, positive, upbeat, take no “bull” attitude.  She was there when you needed her and was a big sweetheart.  Hard times and despair were melted away by her giggly and infectious smile and her love.  She will most certainly be missed by all who knew her.  A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m., at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Ebensburg, Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, officiating.  Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Germany.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Michelle’s memory to the Cambria County Humane Society.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
