I remember as a kid…… Oh, how many years ago!!…… I was always so excited to visit Ebensburg from Wisconsin Every summer!! My aunt Marion seemed just as excited as I was when I burst into the house on Lloyd Street!! She never seemed too busy to visit, no matter how many kids were bustling around the house. She saved my life one time. I was choking on a peach seed and she “pounded” that so-and so right of me. (I don’t think she ever told my mom.) I loved looking at her daily diaries. It was so special to have been able to visit with her this past summer. Rest in peace, my dear, sweet aunt Marion I love you, Betts Winsor

Mrs. Templeton was a good friend to my mother, Velma Banfield. They played cards and went to the senior center together. She always wanted to play scrabble but I couldn't get my mother to do it. She was a very special lady and I am glad I knew her. Jane Banfield

I’m sorry to hear about Marion. She was the first cousin to my father, Tom Jones, and she was the best friend of my mother, Helen Jones. Marion and my mother were charter members of the long standing pinochle club, joined Eastern Star together, and enjoyed many activities together, including activities at the Senior Center. I’m sorry that I am unable to attend the service at UCC, but I want to send my regards and sympathy.

It is with sadness that Richard and I heard of Marion's passing. It was just three weeks ago that our son-in-law, Tom Templeton, and Marion were singing hymns at the nursing home. A mother who could raise eight children who all became sucessful and good people is a tribute to her love and devotion, we know..... One of those children is our son-in-law. He is a wonderful husband, father and son-in-law. Nanny, as we thought of her, was a force of nature: strong pysically, mentally and spiritually. Those qualities and many others will be missed by each one of her family members. Prayers and God's love to each of you. Richard and Susan McClung, Bridgewater, Virginia
